I've deployed IWAN into production for numerous customers both before and after reading this book. This book provides information on the IWAN solution that is easy to understand and easy to implement into your networks. It takes a lot of the important design pieces from the CVD and presents them in an easy to consume manner and also explains the "why" behind the design.Not only does it dive into things like PFR and DMVPN which are the key pieces of IWAN, it also does a great job of offering a fairly detailed explanation of the additional IWAN features like DIA with CWS, WAAS, and other pieces.I would recommend this book to anyone looking to deploy or learn more about the IWAN solution.
A very excellent read. I knew the book would be a good one especially after hearing from the author on Cisco Live. The authors did a good job in explaining PFR, iWAN, DMVPN, DIA but the only big thing which is missing is the integration of iWAN with Prime which has pre existing templates for iWAN for 0 touch provisioning and minimum configurations on the hub and spoke sites. The book must include that to get a 5 start because i am seeing that new deployments of Cisco iWAN is focused on installing Prime template and then tweaking it. More information on Cisco WAAS configuration and management needs to be added as well. But besides that the book is very well written and must to have if you are looking to deploy iWAN for the first time.
A very good book on for network engineer/architect to understanding the architecture behind the IWAN technology. Very detailed explanation with sample configuration.

The much anticipated Cisco Press IWAN book is here. This is another gem from author Brad Edgeworth First there was the well written Cisco Press IP Routing on Cisco IOS XE and IOS XR and now this one. If you are planning to deploy DMVPN, PfR and WAAS this is a must have.Would highly recommend to network engineers and architects who are responsible for deploying and supporting IWAN solutions. Also useful is the VIRL lab files for following along which is available for download. Thank you Brad and team/Cisco Press.
Nice representation of SD-WAN with good examples to deploy in Greenfield and Brownfield deployments. Would be nice to see a chapter on UX being focus of deployments so it makes it easier for deployments. Very good work Jean-Marc, David Prall. Would be nice to see Data Center Deployments.
