Jerry A. Hyman maintains a practice in both elder law and financial planning in Hockessin, Delaware. A member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) since 1992, and a certified financial planner professional since 1990, he integrates the law with financial planning principles to best serve the needs of the elderly. His experience includes management of the tax and estate administration sections of a major bank trust department, and he was the tax manager at a certified public accounting firm. Mr. Hyman has written articles for The ElderLaw Report and is a frequent speaker before groups of lawyers, accountants, financial planners, medical professionals, social workers, and the general public on various elder law topics, and estate, retirement, and Medicaid planning. In addition to his membership in NAELA, Mr. Hyman is a member of the Financial Planning Association and is admitted to practice law in Delaware and Pennsylvania. In both states he is a member of the bar association committee (or section) on elder law, and has chaired the Elder Law Committee of the Delaware State Bar Association. Mr. Hyman is also a Registered Investment Advisor, specializing in the management of assets for retired persons, and holds the CFP® designation in financial planning. Mr. Hyman received his A.B. degree from Rutgers University, his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Law, and his L.L.M. degree in taxation from Temple University Law School.

I got this book out of frustration with my upcoming neice's wedding plans. She has some great ideas but as she is very young there are a lot of the social niceties of which she isn't aware. I have to say that this book has saved both her and I a lot of frustration with the process and each other. In a well put together format this has been able to answer a lot of her questions and frees up more of her time to the 'fun' part of the planing (her word not mine).This also presents everything in one handy resource which she can take to her partners for the big day - like the printer, the florist, and all the rest. The book is a highly recommended time saver!

I really appreciated the no-nonsense approach this book towards planning a wedding. It addresses everything under the sun and always acknowledges what used to be "the thing" versus what is now more acceptable. Best of all, it always encourages you to stay within your own budget and do what is comfortable to you! So important today with all the over the top weddings going on. And as the title says, this is an etiquette book and not to be used as a checklist. Instead, it's a great resource to get you thinking about what you do and don't want going on at your own wedding.

This book is a great read regarding wedding etiquette, to avoid headaches when you are a bride, member of the wedding party, or even attending a wedding. There are tips on everything from the invitations to seating arrangements and more. There is helpful information included on so many different topics regarding a wedding, that you are bound to find some tidbits that you didn't know you needed to know.

This book was very helpful in planning a wedding with "dos" and "don'ts" of wedding planning. It is easy for family member's advice (mother of the bride/groom) to get a little biased. I.E. "I don't think you HAVE to invite them". It was nice to get a third party opinion/view on the correct way of doing things. In addition, I had never heard of most of these rules so it was very informative for me and helped prevent me from stepping on quite a few people's toes.

This was a great, quick (under 3 hours) summary of everything that typically takes place and what is expected of you. By breaking down every tradition step-by-step, we were able to determine what traditions we can do without.

I got the CD right away. it did not take much time. I like this easy planner. It has many resources I can use for my students. It is helpful. It has answer key it do not have to design the worksheets.

I can't tell you about the book because I have not received it. I am awaiting a response from the seller epbookrack1 who reported having shipped it on June 3, 2010. I don't know if they really shipped it or not or if the USPS has lost it. Thus far, I have lost $46.49, the price of the book (Algebra 2 Texas Edition, 2007) plus shipping. And I have no way of tracking the shipment. I am not a happy customer. I just began using Amazon. If the book does not arrive soon, it may be my last time to use Amazon. That is why I gave a zero star rating. (Oh! Do see a rating of 1 star? That's because Amazon would not let me give epbookrack1 a zero rating.)

Before he was a revolutionary Ernesto Guevarra was a young man from a privileged back ground, and a medical student. He and a friend decided to travel, to see the world. Sounds very much like many if not most young men even today. He kept a diary of the adventures, escapades, and mishaps along the way. He saw a world that was new and disturbing in some places to him. Through that trip he would become the eloquent speaker, military planner, doctor, and a crusader for the downtrodden. He became Che Guevarra. But that last part is for another volume. This book introduced me to the idealistic and maybe even naive young man that he was at that point in his life.

Che was more than just a face on a hippy’s T-shirt. He was more than just a revolutionary. This book is the recollection of a young man who was searching for adventure only to come upon horrible inequality which helped shaped his view as the man he would become in the future. Che was a brilliant and eloquent writer. I’ve been told by some of my Spanish speaking professors that the book is a bit lost in translation but I think not.You do not have to be a leftist or a history student to read this. This book is simply the journals of a traveling young man.

I loved this book for many reasons, and strongly recommend it. It attracted me because I have just traveled to Cuba, and had been to many of the other countries and places listed in this book. The idea of a man getting up one day with a close friend and spontaneously deciding to set off on a continental motorcycle tour was also appealing because of the adventure and travel aspects. This book exceeded all the expectations I had for it. Che Guevara’s writing style is unlike anything i had read before. The artful, beautiful way he describes everything from landscapes to his patients makes the reader feel like they are living the experiences he is, sometimes in a deeper way than the reader may have experienced themselves. Che dives into each topic or picture he sees with great emotion and personal opinion while at the same time leaving some space for the readers opinions and ideas to take form. You get the historical sense of what is being observed, with facts provided (the architechture and stories behind the churches in Lima and Cuzco) while at the same time getting Che's somewhat romanticized take on it. There is a great amount of action- (for example the dog scene, the boat scene, and motorcycle breakdowns), contrasted with the demonstration of the social problems of Latin America (racism, poverty, indecent health care). It is fascinating to see Che develop as a social being, and to see how he transforms from a freshly graduated medical student to an iconic revolutionary, while also seeing the primary discussions evolve from strictly landscapes to issues and people stories much like HONY. I read this book for an english class assignment, and have already found myself recommending it to others multiple times. I think its interesting to have read if you are following USA/Cuba relations right now.

I once biked across the country. In that vein, I really enjoyed the book as a diary of a guy going across the country on a motorcycle. Some of the commentary on oppression, particularly in Peru, led me to think about differently about South America and world geopolitics. I don't know much about Che Guevara, and the book didn't really provide much more on that topic, regardless. I do appreciate the fact that he didn't change his original motorcycle diaries after the fact in order to stay true to the original text and adventure.

This book was very entertaining and there is much to learn from these 2 young souls who ventured on such a dangerous journey. I just started riding motorcycles 1 year ago and this was a recommendation from a co-worker. I admire the bravery that these men had and their enthusiasm to travel their continent. However, I wish he would not have gotten so much into the political side of things and that he would have focused more on the humanitarian side. He does show his growing interest in military strategy. Overall, I would read this again in the future.

Interesting perspective on some of the formative years of Che and life in South American during the early 20th century. Good perspective on some of that idealism that humanity had during the age of modernism. Interesting to see someone attempt to reconcile the mind and feelings into one human experience. This reconciliation stands in stark contrast to the life of feelings worshiped by post modern youth today. A great window into an interesting life!

I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to read how what started out as a college student's adventure had so much of a profound effect on Che that the journey completely altered the course of his life. The high point of the book was his observations of Macchu Pichu and Cuzco and his observations on the relations between the indigenous peoples and those of Spanish heritage today, or at least fairly recent times. He also provided a good historical, political, and cultural background to the usual travel writer's observations about the countries he visited and traveled through.

This must have been quite a journey and an adventure for a young man. It certainly changed Guevara's perspective on life and government.Guevara writes in simple, but elegant prose. He does a good job describing small details of the people he encounters that give the reader a greater understanding of their culture. One can understand the why of Guevara's later beliefs.For me this was an enjoyable and interesting short read.

Essentially a collection of 500 portraits, this book comprises a lot of photographs of men, divided into the following sections of poses:Head and shouldersWaist up¾ length seated¾ length standingFull length seatedFull length standing(Apparently real men don't recline) :)Each photograph gives credit to the photographer, but no other information.There's also a short section on posing basics and a long section about the contributing photographers.Many of the poses were duplicated and uninspired, and the pictures are a random mix up of boys, older men, sportsmen, musicians etc. depending on the pose. One shot for example, is just a man squatting in the middle of the road, another is a man squatting next to a truck, and a third is a man squatting next to his golf clubs. I guess men squat a lot.Also, work and formal wear are mixed in with sports and casual wear, so if you're looking for inspiration to pose a bridegroom, you have to flip through the whole thing. Most of the photos show quite small on the Kindle, and although each one can be zoomed for better viewing, it's really a pain on the original Kindle.It would also have been helpful if some footnotes were used for each portrait, emphasizing a few significant elements of its composition and lighting. (eg - 3/4 view, medium light box, backlit, note the position of the hands and the torso angle)The posing basics section was informative, and some of the portraits are useful as visual prompts for unwilling or pose-challenged male subjects, but on the whole it's a tad limited for practical use on a shoot.Amanda Richards, January 17, 2012

I started with 500 poses for groups and couples and have since added every 500 poses title from Perkins including a pre-order of 500 Poses for Infants and Toddlers. These are exactly what the title says...a visual source book. And, as I've said in reviews of other books in this "series" I guess you could call it, while I don't imagine I'll duplicate any pose exactly, I can see myself easily combining some of the different poses present for more pleasing compositions. I am a very visual learner so this is the perfect medium for me to learn posing as it's just image after image after image after image of men posed/posing in various scenarios. The same goes for all the other options in the 500 poses family.

This book is horrible. There may be 500 photos in this book, but there is no where near 500 unique photos. You'll find the same basic "poses" repeated over and over again. In fact, most of the photos are just plain bad. If you want to learn to suck at posing your male clients/models/subjects (whatever you want to call them), then this is the book perfect for you. I would be embarrassed to have 90% of these photos in my portfolio. If you're looking for inspiration in posing men and boys, save your money and surf the web for it.

I have an extensive photography library for my personal resource and because I also teach photography. The title of the book drew my interest as poses for men are limited compared to women's poses. I was hoping that this would be a useful resource book. Unfortunately, it doesn't really teach you anything. Its just a collection of 500 images. It only devotes two pages to discuss some tips but doesn't explain what works and what doesn't. It does have a few quotes from various photographers but it doesn't really offer much. Furthermore, it has so many of the same poses. Like there are 3 half body shots of the model holding a bat over their shoulders behind their heads in the same manner. There are also 3 different shots of young people holding a guitar in exactly the same way. Then there are a dozen similar shots of men standing with hands in their pockets. That's just a few samples of repetitive poses. So, you don't get 500 unique poses. Not only that, some of the poses are more of novelty shots or wacky shots that most people would never use. I was hoping that 1. there would be 500 unique poses. 2. that all the sample poses would be useful and not wasted shots such as shots of someone holding juggling batons to cover his face in a weird way.You're actually better off just searching the internet and you'll find a lot more useful images and not have to waste your hard earned money.Sorry, but the worst photography book purchase I've made.

A lot of glossy images for sure, but as others have noted a lot of them are repeats of the same pose with different models. Perhaps they shuld have called this book 100 poses with different models. Also, for me at least as photographer learning the ropes still, I would expect to see some basic information accompany the images so I know a bit about the way such images are made... information such as camera model, aperture, shutter speed, iso... as it is, the book might just have well been 50 pencil sketches.Dont get me wrong, some very nice images in there but still disapointing we know nothing about their construction other than the photographers name! If you really dont have any ideas about posing perhaps get this for a start, but there are plenty of better books out there... or just browse some magazines and see!

I have the whole series of these books. They are great for using with a client in a photo shoot to show examples of suggested poses. Lots of pictures to thumb through. I am a semi-professional photographer.

I make a little money on the side taking pictures and the hardest part of most photo shoots is that people don't know what they want! This book is organized by head shots, upper body, 3/4 poses and finally full body shots (and props). It is super easy to just let people flip though the book to help them narrow down their focus and get ideas. Then I use the books photo to adjust my lighting. What could be more simple? I also purchased the 500 Poses of Women and get a ton of use out of it.

Not worth the $. Not many impressionable poses. Several look geeky and non attractive.
