The problem is that I don't have the time to sit down and read it cover to cover and get frustrated trying to find what I'm trying to do on excel in the book so I've just been googling the particular task I need and it seems to be working just as well. In other words, if you have the time to sit down and read it's probably a great book, but for me right now as I'm trying to learn excel on a very limited schedule, the internet is working just as well.

You can not make out the charts, diagrams, illustrations in the E-Book.This is not very helpful, when you are teaching yourself Excel. The hard copy would be better.

The examples given were complex. Even things I knew how to do were hard to follow.I've bought many 'Dummies' books over the years, but after this I may not buy another.

The problem is that I don't have the time to sit down and read it cover to cover and get frustrated trying to find what I'm trying to do on excel in the book so I've just been googling the particular task I need and it seems to be working just as well. In other words, if you have the time to sit down and read it's probably a great book, but for me right now as I'm trying to learn excel on a very limited schedule, the internet is working just as well. I got the Kindle addition thinking I could use my laptop, while using Excel on my desktop. You can not make out the charts, diagrams, illustrations in the E-Book.This is not very helpful, when you are teaching yourself Excel. The hard copy would be better. I have worked with Excel for years and wanted something to help me with the more difficult processes - lookup, pivot tables etc. I found this book impossible to follow. The examples given were complex. Even things I knew how to do were hard to follow.I've bought many 'Dummies' books over the years, but after this I may not buy another. Just getting in to this book. I'm finding it useful so far to help me get through some Excel 2010 set-backs that I have been having. The book was ok, but it did not really explain the 'how to', which was what I needed. Good book. Just haven't had the time to really go through it. However, the few pages that I looked at were very helpful. I would recommend this to anyone who uses Excel more than the average person. Good book, although like most Microsoft guides it gives you a couple different ways to do the same thing.
